BELT SANDER RACES

Enter!

It's fun!  It's easy!  It's thrilling!  It's somewhat ridiculous!
Email bshq@bloodshotrecords.com if you'd like to be a racer!

So the rules we use are as follows:

  • The track is 8 inches wide (the sander needs guides to make it 8 inches wide and keep it going straight)
  • The track is 3.5 inches tall
  • The track is 40 feet long (ish...sorta.)
  • Sanders can not be more than 2 feet long with guides etc
  • The vehicle must be propelled by a standard commercial sanding belt

(if lots of people bring sanders that are internally modified for better performance we'll have a modified class and a stock class, but we usually just run 'em all together )

  • All judge's decisions are final (and by judge we usually mean whoever built the track and threw the party, in this case, Nat and whoever Bloodshot appoints, ties go to the builder of the track)
  • All sanders must have their triggers locked in the on position (zip tie anyone?)
  • We attach em both to extension cords plugged in the same switched outlet, put 'em on the track, flip the switch and watch 'em run
  • Any race to close to judge will be run again, if they're still to close the people near the finish decide and  if necessary wrestle to decide who won.
  • Make 'em look pretty.

See?  It's easy!
